Hannah McCollester

Hannah McCollester is a proud Arkansas transplant. She moved to Stuttgart in 2009 to teach 4th grade, then worked as an instructional coach in Pine Bluff before moving to Little Rock in 2013 to manage teacher preparation and development for Teach For America’s Arkansas operation. In 2017, she sold all of her belongings and left to explore South America for a year with only a backpack. She was there three months when she got a call from Jared Henderson asking her to manage his campaign for Governor of Arkansas. She bought her flight home two weeks later and dove headfirst into the world of Arkansas politics. She now works as a partner at the Arkansas Opportunity Institute, working to create equity through business and education consulting. She is also a yoga teacher, diversity facilitator, and dog-mom to Waffles the Corgi.
