Patricia Ashanti

As the founder and CEO of Delta Circles, Patricia begins each day with the attitude that all things are possible. She is a recent graduate of the Clinton School of Public Service with an Executive Master of Public Service and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.  As a proud native of Helena, Arkansas, she has always recognized the need for community service and had a desire to help families thrive. She has been a highly respected community leader in Arkansas for more than twenty years.

In 2009, she led a community effort which resulted in her becoming the founder and CEO of Delta Circles, a non-profit organization with the mission of supporting families to end poverty and challenge the way that Black women think about themselves, their finances, and their businesses. In 2014, Patricia received the Arkansas Times Visionary Award for exhibiting creative leadership for her work in the Arkansas Delta.   In 2017, she formulated WIN, Women Increasing Net-worth Saving Group which has empowered women to save collectively and create new financial narratives for their futures.   She is an enthusiastic supporter of entrepreneurial leadership and was recognized as a 2019 Community Philanthropy Advancing Equity Award recipient. 

Today, Patricia serves on several local boards including the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families.  One of her superpowers, includes the ability to engage communities and bring people together for collaboration and growth. She currently works diligently with community leaders to direct the formation of the Eliza Miller Opportunity Hub (EMOH) in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. EMOH is a community initiative to repurpose an abandoned school into a multi-generational facility to benefit the entire community.  She also currently coordinates the Delta Owned-COVID-19 Relief Fund sponsored by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, to provide critical capital needed to maintain and  re-imagine small businesses in the Arkansas Delta.   Most recently, through Delta Circles, she has established a partnership with the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, (ASBTDC), to increase small business services and resources to minority and under-represented communities. Patricia is a highly motivated person that sets high goals and achieves them.  She is passionate about helping others recognize their gifts and talents and achieve their goals.

She is also the mother of four wonderful children, three handsome boys, and one beautiful daughter.
