Ruthie has been a case manager in the homelessness prevention program (CAFSI) at Our House for 3 years. Ruthie Hokans is the Lead Case Manager for the Homeless Prevention program at Our House in Little Rock, and is currently studying to get her Masters in Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Originally from South Africa, she moved to Boston, MA when she was in middle school, and came to Arkansas to study Anthropology at Hendrix College. Despite her eclectic roots, she considers herself a southern transplant, and is proud to call Little Rock her home. She lives with her fiance, their two cats, and one dog. Ruthie has told a story on the Yarn stage about homelessness and resilience, and is proud to join the stage again to tell a story about family. Ruthie has been a case manager in the homelessness prevention program (CAFSI) at Our House for 3 years.
